Spicy Prawn Gravy

    Prawns are considered as a healthiest foods in the world, because of their nutritional benefits. Prawns are a great source of high quality protein, and provide some of the most important vitamins and minerals that make up a healthy diet. I am going to tell you the best way to prepare Spicy Prawn Gravy.

    This Prawn gravy goes well with Chapathi and Rice. This prawn gravy have simple steps and you will get a tasty prawn gravy in 30 minutes.




How to Prepare Prawn Gravy :

For this gravy am taking 1/2 kg well cleaned prawn.

Initially we need to prepare a masala for this gravy.

1. Take a pan, pour 2 tsp sesame oil, 
  • 2 tsp coriander seeds,
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds,
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds,
  • 1 tsp pepper seeds,
  • 1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds,
  • 5 to 7 Red chilly (you can change the numbers according to your spicy level)
  • 1/2 hand full of curry leaves.
Roast it in low flame for about 1 or 2 minutes. You will get a nice aroma. Switch off the flame. Let it cool. After that grind it into paste.

2. Take 10 small onion and 5 garlic cloves. Crush it and keep aside.

3. In a pan, pour some sesame oil, put this crushed small onion and garlic. Fry it till golden brown.

4. Put 1 or 2 tomatoes(If tomato is big, put 1 or if the tomato is small, put 2) cut into small pieces. Fry till the tomatoes smashes.

5. Then put the masala paste, which we prepared earlier. Put 2 tsp salt and 1 tsp turmeric powder. Fry till the oil separates.

6. Pour some water, according to your consistency. 

7. Close the pan, and allow it to boil. If you want you can add small amount of tamarind water. Adding tamarind water is optional. This will add a small sour taste to the curry,  like fish curry. 

8. Once it boils, when you see the bubbles, add the cleaned prawn and close the pan.

9. Cook for 10 min. Stir occasionally.

10. Once it is cooked, switch off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves.

Tasty, Spicy prawn gravy ready !!!
